If you are a fan of hardcore shooters, welcome to ArmA 2020! The new version has a lot to surprise you with. First of all, the mechanics of character movement has been altered drastically. Previously, the players could only stand, sit and lie. Now there are also many other positions in between that you can use for the purposes of stealth and firing from behind the covers of various height. But the most important thing is the ability to shoot on the go. With this feature, the combats have grown even more realistic and also more dynamic.

Another serious change is the equipment interface. Now you can stuff backpacks and jackets with additional ammo and grenades. Instead of regular slots, you have a special slider that shows the amount of free space left which is more convenient. The modification of weapons now takes mere seconds – you don’t have to spend too much time installing optics and mufflers. There is also an option of changing clothes. But note that the uniforms look very alike, especially at a distance, so you can easily shoot one of your own. To avoid that, just like at real war, you have to be extra careful and double check any observation of yours.

Otherwise, ArmA has stayed true to its core. War isn’t only fierce shootouts. Before opening fire, you must trace the victim. And that means performing a whole series of actions, not all of which are especially action-packed. That turns a usual backstory you can find in any decent shooter into a whole documentary making you feel like an immediate participant of the events. Prepare for a long, exhausting, but highly fascinating campaign that will keep absorbing you deeper and deeper with every minute you spend here!
