The ArmA series has been around for over fifteen years. During this time, developers from the Czech Republic managed to show how to create realistic games about war. But in ArmA 3, they went to a completely different level. Even the scene changed. This time, everything moved thirty years into the future. Because of this, not everyone is armed with familiar equipment, but rather its more modern and sometimes even non-existing (at least, yet) counterparts. But the essence of war never changes – it’s a known fact.

In Altis Life, the battlefield itself was also enlarged. Now it occupies two islands where NATO militants meet another bunch of bad guys. If in the previous chapters, the soldiers of the Russian Federation were evil, now we are talking about Iran. They want to take over one of the islands currently belonging to Greece.

The setting aside, the familiar features of the first two parts have been retained. At the very beginning of the journey, the player will have time to lose all his allies, escape into the forests, find comrades and take up arms again. It will be both difficult and interesting to walk this path.

The gameplay hasn’t undergone any fundamental changes either. But the degree of realism in ArmA 3 has increased significantly. This was also influenced by the graphics that has become much better. Thanks to this, we get an almost perfect war game that can seriously captivate us for many days.

Just like at the real front line, endurance and ability to aim fire are highly valued. A simple example: you can drive a dilapidated truck for half an hour and die from just one bullet. Well, at least you can change the camera view. The game can be played both from the third and first person perspective. This is useful when attacking from an ambush.

But the best thing is that you can do it together with your friends. This is what the game is designed for in the first place. That brings in new elements to the familiar gameplay forcing you to coordinate your actions and work as a team if you want to reach success. The tactical maneuvers also become more versatile in the team mode. While one of the players is distracting the enemy, the other can do an important job – for instant, plant and explode a bomb.
